She was a writer way before that though she won her first writing contest when she was 8 it was in the paper and everything. She has since written for Best Women's Travel Writing, Words Without Borders, The National Book Critics Circle blog, The Brooklyn Rail, The Faster Times, 3:AM and many other publications. She won the National Haiku Contest in 2007 and has had many impressive some would say clearly the best writing of all time articles, essays, reviews, interviews and stories published, some of which are listed below. She is the publisher of the annual print journal The 12 am Project and the Poetry Editor of Word Riot, Inc. She is a fiction writer foremost, actually.

Here are links to some of her work. The sentences below start with I for a reason, people.

2012:

I have written a review of Gowanus Atropolis for The Believer which can be read in the February issue in print as well as here

I am a 2012 Pushcart Prize nominee in Fiction representing The Good Men Project for this story here

I have a short story about folklore in this issue of The Brooklyn Voice here

I have a prose poem in the January issue of elimae here

I am the first e-book from Dark Sky Press in history.
